Run an Online Business From Your Phone
By Yuntao Zou, Founder, VentiMap@TaoMachina
You can run an online business from your phone with VentiMap, because the phone version of the Control Panel is made for deciding, not doing. It has a Company tab for the main action and the task list and a Manager tab for the chat, while the building, the outreach and the daily jobs run on VentiMap's side.
I'm Yuntao Zou, VentiMap's founder. An owner with a day job looks at the business in gaps: a queue, a commute, ten minutes between meetings. I built the phone side around that. It shows what changed, asks for the few decisions that are yours, and lets you put the phone down again.
Nothing to install: it is the VentiMap website, opened in your phone's browser.
What does the Control Panel show on a phone?
On a phone the Control Panel opens in two tabs under the header, Company and Manager. The Company tab is your first screen, top to bottom:
- The company's name and, while a paid plan is being built, how many steps are done, such as 4 of 12 steps done.
- Your website address once a page is up. Tap it and the real page opens in a new tab; the button beside it copies the link.
- The one main button for where the company is now. For a free company whose first screen is live, the line under it reads: Your first screen is live. Pick a plan to build the whole company.
- The task list. The first four active tasks show, a button below them opens the rest, and a View Work Map link opens the full plan.
- A card with the latest line from your Manager. Tap it and the Manager tab opens.
The Manager tab is the conversation with your Manager at full height. When the Manager has posted since you last looked, a small number appears on the tab, so you know before you open it.
The menu keeps the rest: Build Studio once there is something to edit, Brain, and a Copy link for a computer button that gives you the full Control Panel address to open on a bigger screen.
How do I read and agree to my report on a phone?
When your report is ready, the conversation shows one card: Your report is ready, with an Open report button. The report opens as a full-screen sheet, one readable column with a close button at the top.
The Agree and open Control Panel button stays pinned to the bottom of that sheet. It is in reach wherever you have scrolled to, so you can read the report from the top and agree in one tap when it is right.
What does the daily email tell me?
VentiMap sends at most one email a day to an owner, and nothing at all on a quiet day. What it says depends on the stage your company is at:
- A free company: its first screen is live, with a Pick a plan button, and a reminder on day 3 and day 7 while it waits for a plan.
- A company being built on a paid pass: the steps finished yesterday and how many are still to go.
- A company that is operating: your own numbers (site visitors, emails sent, replies and sales), one sentence on where yesterday's visitors stopped (they visited without starting checkout, or started checkout without paying), and the next job your Manager will do.
The numbers in the email come from your company's own records. The email also tells you that anything planned can be skipped from your Control Panel. It comes to every owner by default, and its footer links to your notification settings, where you can switch it off.
What does the Manager do while I am at work?
Every day, once your company is running on a paid pass, VentiMap reviews it against its own numbers and plans the next jobs. A proactive Manager then does them: an X post on the company's own X account, a rewrite of the outreach letter, or a price change inside the price range your report researched.
Each job appears on your task list. A waiting job has Start (run it now) and Skip beside it, and one job runs at a time. The Manager posts a line in your chat when the work really begins and again when it is done, so a glance at the Manager tab tells you what happened since breakfast.
It also answers customers' emails for you, from your company's own details, and tells you in the chat. Questions about discounts, refunds or anything it shouldn't decide wait for you. Each answer is paid from your Credits at a measured cost.
Outreach runs in the background too: VentiMap finds customers who match your business, contacts them for you in your company's name, and follows up automatically. Replies land in the company inbox, and they count in your daily email.
Why can the phone stay light?
The heavy work happens on VentiMap's side. The agents that build your product, write the letters and run the daily jobs work on VentiMap's servers, not in your browser. Your phone is a window onto that work and a place to make the decisions that are yours.
Everything you need to decide sits on the Company tab: read the summary, tap Start or Skip, and move on. When you want every step, the View Work Map link under the task list opens the full plan, so the whole company is a tap away.
Which decisions stay with me?
Agreeing to the report, starting or skipping a job, and the money. Reddit ads wait for a daily amount you approve. Posts on the company's X account go out at X's own list price from your Credits. Posts to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn are published by you, in your own account, after one tap prepares them.
A phone suits exactly these short decisions. If you want the longer view of keeping hold of an AI-run company, the stay-in-control guide covers the questions to ask the Manager.
What does it cost to run it from a phone?
The phone costs nothing extra; it is the same Control Panel. You start free, with no card: a researched report on your idea, a shareable company page and one post on X. Building the whole company and the daily jobs run on a paid pass: Starter $20, Pro $50 or Max $100, one-time, lasting 30 days, and never renewing on their own. The pricing page has the details.
Common questions about running a business from a phone
Is there a VentiMap app for my phone?
VentiMap is a website, so there is nothing to install. Open it in your phone's browser and the Control Panel shows the Company and Manager tabs. The daily email arrives in your inbox like any other.
Can I start or skip the Manager’s jobs from my phone?
Yes. A waiting job on the Company tab has a Start button, which runs it now, and a Skip button beside it. The Manager posts a line in the chat when it begins and when it is done.
What if I do not want a daily email?
Switch it off in your notification settings; the footer of the email links there. It is at most one email a day, and a quiet day sends nothing.
Do I need a computer at all?
Not for the daily running. You can read and agree to your report, read your daily email, follow the Manager and start or skip jobs from a phone. When you want the full Control Panel, the menu copies its link for a computer.
