No-Code App With a Backend and Sign-In

By Yuntao Zou, Founder, VentiMap@TaoMachina

You can build an app with a backend and user login without coding on VentiMap: the products it builds can keep data that every visitor shares, and visitors sign in with a 6-digit code emailed to them, with no passwords. The backend is paid from your Credits at a measured cost, with no extra subscription, and VentiMap takes 0% of each sale.

What do bookings, members areas and "my orders" need that a plain page does not?

A page that only shows information needs no backend. The moment two visitors must see the same thing, or one visitor must see something that is theirs, the product needs somewhere to keep data and a way to know who is asking. Spots left on a class, a place in a queue, a members-only guide and "my orders" are each shared data, sign-in, or both.

I built VentiMap so you never have to think about servers. You describe the idea in plain words, and VentiMap decides from the idea whether the product needs a backend. A product that the page can do alone does not get one, so a simple site stays simple.

What can the backend of a VentiMap product do?

A product VentiMap builds can have its own backend, a small piece of code that runs on the product's own address and answers the page. It covers five jobs:

  • Shared data: every visitor sees the same bookings, spots left, queue positions or members. The product keeps its own records, such as bookings, members, orders and enquiries, and can filter, sort, count and page through them, up to 100,000 records per product.
  • Scheduled jobs: work that runs at a time and in a time zone the product names, such as a daily summary at 8:00.
  • Signed webhooks: events from outside services such as Stripe are accepted only when their signature checks out.
  • Private keys: when the product needs a key for an outside service, you add it in Product services. It is kept encrypted, and the product's code never contains it.
  • Outside services: the product can call services over HTTPS that it names in advance.

How do visitors sign in without passwords?

The visitor types an email address, VentiMap emails a 6-digit code, and the visitor types the code back. There is no password to set, forget or reset. Once the code is accepted, the product knows who is calling, so "my orders" shows that visitor's own orders and nobody else's.

A code works for 10 minutes and allows 5 tries, and a visitor stays signed in on that browser for 30 days. Each address can ask for a limited number of codes an hour, which holds off strangers who would otherwise flood someone's inbox. Every code email is paid from your Credits like any other email your company sends.

You also choose who can reach each part of the product. A part can be open to everyone, limited to visitors who have signed in, or limited to people who bought.

What can I build with a backend and sign-in?

  • A booking page with spots left: every visitor sees the same number, and when someone books, the next visitor sees one fewer. A scheduled job can total the day's bookings each morning.
  • A members area: guides or prices that only signed-in visitors can open, with each member's saved settings kept under their own sign-in.
  • A waitlist or queue: visitors join with their email, everyone sees the same count, and each person sees their own place.
  • A "my orders" page: a buyer signs in with a code and sees their own orders and requests, and nobody else's.

None of these asks you to write code. You say what the product promises, and the Work Map shows you what is being built, in what order and why.

Where does the backend code run, and who pays for it?

Backend code runs isolated from the VentiMap platform. It does not run next to the platform's own keys, and each call starts in a fresh, locked-down sandbox that is gone when the call ends.

Usage is paid from your Credits at a measured cost, with no extra subscription, and your Credit balance is the only limit on what the backend can spend. Passes are one-time and last 30 days: Starter $20, Pro $50, Max $100. They never renew on their own.

What else comes with the product?

Payments go through Stripe, and VentiMap takes 0% of each sale on orders placed since October 15, 2026, so no platform charges less. The Stripe card fee still applies. On a paid pass you can connect a domain you own, and your product's code is pushed to a GitHub repository you own after every publish, with no Credits charged.

The product is also part of a company VentiMap keeps running: it finds customers who match your business, contacts them for you in your company's name, and follows up automatically, and a proactive Manager tells you in the chat what changed.

How does this compare with other app builders?

I put VentiMap next to Lovable, Replit and Base44 in dated tables that include the backend, the plans and the payments route, starting with Lovable.

The Replit comparison covers the same ground for an editor-first workspace.

Base44 listed a built-in backend, storage and auth on its home page when I read it on October 17, 2026, and my Base44 comparison sets that next to VentiMap's sign-in and fees.

A few practical questions

Can I build an app with a backend and user login without coding?

Yes, on VentiMap. You describe the idea, and when the product needs shared data or sign-in, VentiMap builds the backend for it. Visitors sign in with a 6-digit code emailed to them, with no passwords, and you manage the product from the Work Map and the Manager chat, not from code.

How do visitors sign in to a product built with VentiMap?

They enter their email address and then the 6-digit code VentiMap emails to them. A code works for 10 minutes, and the visitor stays signed in on that browser for 30 days. There are no passwords to set or reset.

What does the backend cost?

It is paid from your Credits at a measured cost, with no extra subscription. Your Credit balance is the only limit on what it can spend, and each sign-in code email is paid from your Credits too.

How are the private keys of a product kept?

A private key you add in Product services is kept encrypted, and the product's code never contains it. Backend code runs isolated from the VentiMap platform, in its own sandbox for each call.

Do I own the product, its domain and its code?

Yes. On a paid pass you connect a domain you own, and your product's code is pushed to a GitHub repository you own after every publish, with no Credits charged. VentiMap takes 0% of each sale.

Give VentiMap the idea with bookings, members or a waitlist in it and read the plan it writes. If you want to write the server code yourself, a code editor is built for that.
